Crafting your vision in wood

At Wearable Wood Galway, our bespoke Irish handmade awards each carry their own story. Let us help you create a unique piece that celebrates a special moment, or carries a meaningful message.

Your unique wooden creation

Our wood artworks offer a personal touch through custom etching and engravings, allowing us to craft individual designs that connects you and the work. Each piece is locally made at our studio in Galway, Ireland.

The custom order journey

We're committed to understanding what you are looking for and translating it into a beautiful piece of wooden art.  Here's how we collaborate with you.

To start the process

The journey begins with you completing and submitting the contact form, giving us a summary of what you need.  We follow up with you by e-mail or phone to discuss what you are looking for.  Once we understand your concept, we work on translating this into a beautiful wooden artwork.

Crafted with care, designed to last

At Wearable Wood Galway our one-of-a-kind pieces we slowly craft the work to ensure the piece is given time to mature and develop the form, surface and finish of the final piece.

Our custom creations

Presidential presentation piece

We recently crafted a special presentation piece that was given to the President of Ireland. This unique item was made from a 100-year-old piece of oak salvaged from a boat restoration project, beautifully merged with new Irish birch and ash wood, symbolising heritage and new beginnings.

"Cuisle Mo Chroi" plaque

Another cherished custom piece is made from Irish spalted beech and walnut, laser engraved with the words 'Cuisle Mo Chroi', meaning 'Pulse of my Heart', using an old Irish script typeface. This piece beautifully marries natural wood with deep cultural sentiment.
